Melanie is a North Carolina Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC).
Education
Melanie received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and her Master of Science in Counseling with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health.
Specialties
Melanie works with adults, teens (14 and up), and LGBTQ+ individuals through a non-judgemental therapeutic lens. She is passionate about providing quality care to underserved communities in which she provides culturally sensitive counseling to Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities. Melanie specializes in working with BIPOC women and teen girls who are struggling with grief, childhood trauma, anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), shame, life transitions, and self-esteem issues.
